Santa’s Arrival and Official Tree Lighting Ceremony

ICE! featuring A Christmas Story
The Gaylord Rockies invites visitors to experience this unique attraction which showcases hand-carved ice sculptures depicting scenes from the beloved movie, “A Christmas Story” and provides snuggly parkas to keep visitors warm as they explore the frosty scene.

Lighting of Breckenridge and Race of The Santas
Captures the charm of a snowy mountain town straight out of a holiday movie. Hundreds of Santa look-alikes run down Main Street in a race followed by Santa’s early visit to Breckenridge to light the town tree and illuminate the town.

The Santa Express Train
The Santa Express Train travels along the Royal Gorge Route Railroad to the North Pole and back up to four times daily: 9:30am, 12:30pm, 4pm and 7pm. Holiday spirit abounds aboard each train, where you’ll enjoy your favorite Christmas tunes and cheerful decor. Prepare to be dazzled by a holiday display featuring more than 50,000 lights in the North Pole. Santa Express Train journey is approximately 1.5 hours.

Catch The Glow Parade
The Annual “Catch the Glow” Parade will brighten Estes Park at 5:30pm. Each year as many as 20,000 people line Elkhorn Avenue to “Catch the Glow” of this whimsical holiday parade, as well as spend the afternoon visiting Santa and strolling through downtown Estes Park. The parade features more than 40 units, including hand crafted floats from the Town of Estes Park and nonprofits, marching bands, fire trucks and other specialty vehicles.

The largest annual holiday craft fair in Northern Colorado. The Trail of Lights at Chatfield Farms
Tucked into the foothills under the dark sky, the glow of lights can be seen for miles. Just under a mile of walking trail, the illumination of cottonwoods, boxelders and pine trees line the pathway through the Green Farm, Crossroads, Deer Creek Discovery Children’s Play Area and 1880s Hildebrand Ranch homestead. There is the option of an alternative path for those who want to take a shorter stroll.

Winter Wonderlights
Visitors can walk through the beautiful park and enjoy over 200,000 lights including holiday string lights, twinkling bulbs, LED mappable snowflakes, illuminated African stone sculptures and 30-minute music and light shows every night. The light and music show features nine total songs and moving lights on the 23 foot tall LED mappable Christmas Tree. Special programming, the inflatable igloo stage and local vendors will be onsite during Winter Wonderlights LIVE nights. Our LIVE nights for 2023 will be offered on Saturday, November 18, Saturday, December 2nd, and Saturday, December 16th.

For over 30 years, Pueblo’s Parade of Lights has been a tradition and one of the largest Christmas parades in Colorado. On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, festive, colorful and clever floats, school marching bands, drill teams, decorated saddle club horses and car club vehicles festooned with lights thrill many thousands of spectators as the parade passes from the Mesa Junction down Union Avenue to Main Street then west to disband at 6th and Court.

The 60-100 Telluride Ski Area employees can be seen from town, as they ski down Coonskin to Telluride Trail and into town with glowing torches. The parade is a festive way to celebrate the season and is a beautiful stream of light and motion.
