The second year of Eldorado Canyon State Park’s timed entry vehicle reservation system will begin May 20 and continue through Sept 10. A reservation will be required for Saturdays, Sundays, and summer holidays. Visitors can book two-hour entry windows from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Each visitor is allocated one daily reservation per vehicle with a maximum of four reservations per month. Reservations can be made through the park’s website or by calling the Reservation Line: 1-800-244-5613. Reservations cannot be booked at the park entrance or visitor center. Visitors who use the free Eldo Shuttle will not need a reservation for the park. The shuttle will be available in late May, with various pick-up locations in Boulder County.

Exit Paradise – Sherry Wiggins and Luis Branco, Kristen Hatgi-Sink, Mark Sink – Exhibition at Seidel City Contemporary Art Gallery and Art Lab of the body based photographic works of Sherry Wiggins and Luis Branco, Kristen Hate-Sink and Mark Sink. Arranged throughout Seidel City’s exhibition galleries, the exhibition is designed to suggest a narrative leading viewers through a sensorial experience of body and myth. This exhibition will also feature ‘Bon Bon,’ Kristen Hatgi Sink’s exploration into video installation, an extension of her photographic practice, and a collaborative project with Jillian FitzMaurice.

Elephant in the Room – You won’t be able to ignore the elephant in the room during the upcoming show at Niza Knoll Gallery! This juried exhibition celebrates these majestic creatures with selected works rendered in clay, paint, photography, charcoal, wax, and all sorts of mixed media. A large papier-mâché elephant —created by Gallerist and show Juror, Niza Knoll, Georgianne Rollman and Kristy Melodia with help from Nancy Enyart and Sally Lewis—will serve as a delightful centerpiece to the show.

Through the Lens: The Photography of Frank Muramoto – A curated collection of approximately three dozen photographs. The Japanese-born professional photographer operated his own studio in Pueblo, Colorado, capturing everyday life across a diverse range of communities, industries, and landscapes for over four decades from 1915 to 1958. The exhibit offers a rare opportunity to view pictures of himself, his family, and the community he lived in. This exhibit will also have a viewing station displaying videos taken by Muramoto and excerpts from an oral history of Dave Muramoto, the photographer’s grandson. Produced in partnership with the Pueblo City-County Library District.

Description: 40 West gallery is seeking artwork from artists of all level of experience conveying all things road trip; the wheels, the roads, the places, the feelings. All mediums considered. Grant Opportunity: Women Photograph Project Grants

Description: Thanks to support from Nikon USA and MPB, these $5,000 grants will support photography projects — either new or in-progress — from visual journalists working in a documentary capacity. Five grants are available, at least one of which will be earmarked for a nonbinary or transgender photographer. Funding may be used to cover the hard costs of reporting, photographers’ creative fees, and any other expenses that support the production of new work. This grant is not meant to support the production of books, exhibitions, workshops, or other secondary materials.
